I never really intended to make this puzzle but it was necessary as a stepping stone towards my Ball in a Cube. I was very surprised that it turned out so well. Rotational movement is very good. Once again I have used the high quality Skewb style stickers instead of the regular Rubik's Cube type. This is because I find they fit better to curved surfaces. The puzzle was made from a 4x4x4 Eastsheen Cube. The extra pieces come from the normally hidden internal parts. All work was done by hand without the use of rapid prototyping. Moulds and casting was however used in the process. I constructed it in 2008. The 4x4x4 Eastsheen Cube has a block inside to prevent unwanted misalignment of interior pieces. To make my puzzle fully functional it was necessary to remove this block. For other puzzles such as my Ball In A Cube and Overlapping Cube it is an integral part of the puzzle and they remain fully functional with the block left untouched.
